Hitting Cancer out of the Park

HITTING CANCER OUT OF THE BALL PARK

Cloverdale Minor Fastpitch Association is collaborating with the Canadian Cancer Society and Ball Park Sports for a fundraising event in the park.  We are combining forces to make it a very special time for our teams, players, families, and friends.

Merv Sandrel of Ball Park Sports will be donating authentic pink coloured wood bats to be used in our league games during the week of the event..

We are looking forward to the participation of players, families, and friends and collectively a good response should establish this as an annual event in the Cloverdale Minor Fastpitch Association.

CMFA has a few players and many parents who have struggled or are struggling to fight cancer.  It is our hope that all teams will participate in this event by purchasing a pair of pink socks that will be worn during the week of our event.

CMFA has asked for $8 per pair of socks.  This money covers the cost of the socks and a built in donation for the event.

We would like to be part of raising the awareness of cancer research and a strong group response from the CMFA will go a long way towards achieving that goal.  We believe our players and spectators will enjoy the games while appreciating the purpose behind them.

Inquiries regarding the purpose of this weekend can be directed to Shelly Gardiner at ns1987@telus.net .

Please forward your team order for pink socks to Donna Kurpiela at cmsa@shaw.ca .  Details about this event have been sent to all team manager/coaches.

Thank you very much for your support.
